Privacy Policy

Effective September 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Lucem Standard (“Lucem,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects information when you visit lucemstandard.com, create an account, contact us or place an order.

1. Information we collect

We may collect identifiers and contact details such as name, email, phone number, billing and shipping addresses; account details and research-use confirmations; order, product, payment-status and support records; and device, browser, IP address, cookie, referral and site-interaction data. Payment-card details may be collected directly by the selected payment processor rather than stored by Lucem.

2. Sources of information

Information may come directly from you, automatically from your device and browser, and from service providers such as payment processors, fraud-prevention services, hosting providers, analytics services, communication platforms and shipping carriers.

3. How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts; authenticate access; process and fulfill orders; provide tracking and support; locate COAs and lot records; communicate transaction and policy updates; prevent fraud, misuse and security incidents; maintain records; improve the site; comply with law; and protect legal rights.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

The site may use essential cookies for sign-in, cart, checkout, security and preferences. Analytics and marketing technologies may be used only as configured for the production site. Browser controls can limit cookies, but blocking essential cookies may prevent account or checkout functions from working.

5. How information is disclosed

We may disclose information to providers that host or secure the site, process payments, detect fraud, manage email, provide analytics, fulfill and deliver orders, or support our operations. We may also disclose information to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate misuse, protect safety or rights, complete a business transaction, or act with your direction. We do not disclose personal information merely because a third party requests it without a valid basis.

6. Advertising and sale or sharing

Lucem does not sell personal information for money. If production advertising or analytics practices constitute “selling” or “sharing” under an applicable privacy law, eligible users may exercise the opt-out rights described below. The final production configuration must be reflected accurately in this section.

7. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including account administration, order fulfillment, tax and accounting requirements, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, compliance and enforcement. Retention periods vary by record type and legal obligation.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Use a unique password and notify us if you suspect unauthorized account access.

9. Your choices and rights

You may update certain account information through My Account, unsubscribe from non-transactional marketing using the message link, or request access, correction or deletion by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to know, obtain, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and opt out of certain sale, sharing or targeted advertising. We may verify your identity and retain information where permitted or required by law.

10. California privacy notice

California residents may have rights regarding categories and specific pieces of personal information, correction, deletion, data portability, and opting out of sale or sharing, subject to legal exceptions and applicability thresholds. Lucem will not discriminate against a user for exercising an applicable privacy right. Requests may be submitted at the contact address below; authorized agents may be required to provide written authorization and identity verification.

11. Children

The site is not directed to children, and account holders must be at least 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information.

12. External links and services

Third-party websites and services have their own privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information. Lucem is not responsible for third-party practices outside our control.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy as services, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes may also be communicated through the site or account email where appropriate.

14. Contact

Privacy questions and requests may be sent to support@lucemstandard.com. Include “Privacy Request” in the subject line and identify the account email involved.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select "Remember Me", your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
